How to transfer iPhone videos and photos back to PC and Mac
If you often use iPhone to record video or take photos. It would be a good idea to backup them through iTunes on your computer. But iTunes organize the files in a special rule that only iTunes can recognize them. If you want to play the video on your computer later, or email the photos, or edit the iPhone video with some other program, or want to burn the video to DVD to play on DVD player. You have to copy the videos and photos from iPhone to your computer at first. And this step by step guide will show you how to do that for free. It’s easy to understand and works pretty well with my iPhone. This tutorial includes two parts for both Windows System and Mac Sysytem.
Part1. Transfer iPhone videos and photos to PC
Step1. I take windows 7 system as example. Once you connect your iPhone to PC, a windows will be pop up to ask you what you want to do with the media on the iPhone.
Step2. Go ahead and click on Import pictures and videos. You’ll then be prompted to give the import a name. Click Import and all your photos and videos will be transferred to your Windows PC.
Once completed, a Explorer window will pop up showing all of your imported iPhone photos and videos. That's all.
Part2. How to transfer iPhone videos and photos to Mac
For Mac user, you can use this iPhone Transfer for Mac. It's easy to use and works for all series of iPhone including iPhone 5, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPhone.
Step1. Download iPhone Transfer for Mac , double clicks to install it. Connect your iPhone to the Mac and then run the iPhone Transfer for Mac. It will automatically detects the model of your device and present you connected dialog, shown below.
Step2.Now you can directly transfer iPhone videos and photos to Mac. Below is the program interface, the left part is the videos and photos on your iPhone and the right stands your Mac. You can directly drag iPhone videos and photos in the left region to the right. That's all. It couldn't be easier to transfer iPhone videos and photos to Mac like that.
